Julia Pilkington Alexander is an associate attorney at BLMT Immigration Law (Bean, Lloyd, Mukherji, & Taylor, LLP), where she focuses on removal defense, asylum, employment-based immigration, and complex immigration litigation matters.

Before joining BLMT in 2025, Julia worked as an associate attorney with the Law Office of Robert B. Jobe, representing clients before the USCIS Asylum Office and the Executive Office for Immigration Review in San Francisco, Concord, and Sacramento. Prior to her work in removal defense, she practiced employment-based immigration law with Minami Tamaki LLP, preparing immigrant and nonimmigrant visa petitions with a focus on L-1, O-1, EB-1C, and H-1B matters.

Julia first joined BLMT during law school as an extern through the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic and gained additional immigration law experience through positions with Catholic Charities of the East Bay and Kingston, Martinez, & Hogan LLP.

She earned her J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, where she graduated with Order of the Coif honors and concentrated in international law. During law school, Julia participated in the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic, served as a staff editor for the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review, competed in national moot court competitions, and later coached immigration moot court teams recognized at the national level.
