Anita Mukherji is a managing partner at BLMT Immigration Law (Bean, Lloyd, Mukherji, & Taylor, LLP), where she focuses exclusively on immigration law with an emphasis on family-based immigration, citizenship and naturalization, humanitarian relief, and complex immigration matters affecting individuals and families.
Known for her compassionate and client-centered approach, Anita works closely with clients navigating some of the most important and personal transitions in their lives. She understands that immigration matters often carry emotional, financial, and family pressures beyond the legal process itself, and she is committed to helping clients feel informed, supported, and prepared at every stage of their case.
Throughout her career, Anita has represented clients before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, immigration courts, and federal immigration agencies, guiding families, professionals, and vulnerable individuals through a wide range of immigration processes. Her work is grounded in clear communication, thoughtful legal strategy, and a strong commitment to practical, honest guidance.
In addition to her legal practice, Anita has remained active within the immigration law community through professional organizations, mentorship, and advocacy efforts supporting immigrant communities and access to legal resources. She is recognized for her ability to balance careful legal analysis with a calm, approachable style that helps clients feel heard and understood during stressful moments.
As Managing Partner of BLMT’s Brooklyn office, Anita leads the firm’s East Coast presence with a focus on responsive communication, personalized legal support, and trusted immigration advocacy. Her goal is not only to help clients navigate the legal system, but to make the process feel more understandable, human, and manageable from beginning to end.
