Amie D. Miller brings decades of focused immigration law experience to BLMT Immigration Law (Previously Bean, Lloyd, Mukherji, & Taylor, LLP). Before joining the firm, she led the Law Office of Amie D. Miller in San Francisco, where she represented clients across a wide range of immigration, citizenship, and visa matters. Her practice has long focused on helping people pursue lawful status, reunite with family, seek protection, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
Amie is certified by the State Bar of California as a Specialist in Immigration & Nationality Law. She has practiced law since 1996 and has focused exclusively on immigration and nationality law since 1999. Her work has included matters before United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and federal court.
Throughout her career, Amie has handled family-based immigration, marriage and fiancé visas, citizenship and naturalization, immigrant and nonimmigrant waivers, asylum, LGBTQ+ immigration matters, U visas, DACA, and visa options for professionals, artists, entertainers, athletes, and other individuals seeking to live or work in the United States.
Amie is also active in the immigration legal community. She has served in leadership roles with the American Immigration Lawyers Association Northern California Chapter and the Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom. She has taught immigration seminars and mentored attorneys handling pro bono immigration matters through local nonprofit programs. Her pro bono work has been recognized with the Wiley M. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services.
Clients often come to Amie during moments of uncertainty, fear, or transition. Her approach is both strategic and human: she works to understand the full context behind each immigration matter, explain the available options clearly, and prepare each case with the care it deserves.
